Menzi Ngubane’s Widow Reflects on His Passing: ‘Nothing Makes Sense’

It has been four years since the beloved South African actor Menzi Ngubane passed away, yet the pain of his absence remains fresh for his widow, Sikelelwa Ngubane. The veteran actor, best known for his iconic role as Sibusiso Dlomo in Generations, tragically passed away on 13 March 2021 after suffering a stroke at the age of 56.

On the anniversary of his death, Sikelelwa took to Instagram to share an emotional tribute to her late husband. Accompanied by cherished pictures of their wedding and relationship, she expressed her ongoing grief and longing.

“13 March 2021, my life drastically changed. Nothing has made sense since then. They say time heals; I am still waiting. It’s been four years since you departed from this world, myeni wami [my husband]. My prayer is there will come a time when I hurt less. Continue to Rest in Peace, uyohlala usezintliziyweni zethu [You will always be in our hearts],” she wrote.

Menzi and Sikelelwa had tied the knot in a traditional ceremony in 2019, marking the beginning of what was meant to be a long and loving union. Before their marriage, Menzi was previously wed to Lerato Sedibe.
