But beneath the laughter lay a heartbreaking truth. Who would have guessed that the man who brought joy to so many was fighting his own demons? Sadly, on March 7, 2025, Ebenhaezer passed away, and today, March 10, 2025, his family revealed the shocking news: he had battled depression for years, leading to his tragic suicide.

This heartbreaking reality suggests that Ebenhaezer’s pain went unnoticed. His jovial demeanor masked a silent battle that many failed to see.

A memorial service will honor Ebenhaezer on Wednesday at The Bioscope, 44 Stanley in Milpark, Johannesburg. His funeral service is set for Friday in Mbombela, Nelspruit.
